If you live in an apartment in Beaufort, SC, you have to be a foodie to some degree. Beaufort is known for its seashore, it’s Southern charm and, it’s food!

There are two upcoming food events you just can’t miss:

On July 12th, 5:30 pm – 7pm, at the Verdier House the Historic Beaufort Foundation will celebrate the publication of local caterer Debbi Covington’s new cookbook with a book signing and wine and hors d’oeuvres. Mrs. Covington will sign copies of Celebrate Everything! Delicious Menus for Festive Gatherings and Easy Entertaining.
 
Celebrate Everything! includes recipes combining her love of cooking with recipes from both the Carolinas.

A share of her proceeds contributed to Historic Beaufort Foundation.

On July 26th, the SUPPER SOCIETY has another secret dinner to offer you. The Location and full menu will be revealed to guests on Tuesday, July 24th.  This will be an unforgettable dining experience with chefs Stephanie Capers (Sweetgrass Restaurant) and Sherri Whitmire (Gullah-N-Geechie Mahn). The chefs will prepare a delicious four course Lowcountry supper featuring locally grown pork and emphasizing local and sustainable produce.

There will be music by The Sidestreet Walkers and seating is very limited so an R.S.V.P. is required (Call 843-379-3331).

All proceeds benefit preservation and revitalization efforts in Beaufort.
