If you live in an apartment in Beaufort, SC then you know that Hilton Head is in the thick of its annual seafood fest.
The eighth annual Hilton Head Island Seafood Fest began with a kickoff fish fry and oyster roast on Sunday at Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks.
The festival, hosted by the David M. Carmines Memorial Foundation, continues through March 7 at various locations. It benefits the MD Anderson Cancer Research Center, Island Recreation Scholarship Fund and American Cancer Society.
The foundation was established by the Carmines family, owners of Hudson's Seafood House, in memory of their son, and the festival is the organization's main fundraiser.
