The Historic Beaufort Foundation is holding its annual oyster roast Friday, January 18th at The Oaks Plantation on St. Helena Island. If you live in an apartment in Beaufort, SC, you can enjoy oysters as they are shoveled onto the tables, and pulled pork, bbq chicken and all the side dishes for a traditional lowcountry experience.
Also again this year, you are invited to attend one of two serving times for the oysters – 4:30 p.m. or 7 p.m., but spend as much time as you would like enjoying the music of the Bull Grapes of Frogmore around the bonfires.
Reservations are limited, as is parking which will be offsite with a shuttle provided. Tickets are $45 per member and $50 per non-member. Tickets include the traditional foods and two bar drinks. Additional drinks will be available at the cash bar. Call the office at 379-3331 to make reservations or go online to www.historicbeaufort.org/shop.
